The Mentorship Program.

The Crescendo Club Mentorship Program gives high school and college students the chance to develop leadership and teaching skills while engaging with their community.

Mentors work in tandem with lead teaching artists, assist in group classes, attend monthly reflection meetings together, and volunteer at community events. Participants gain hands-on experience, earn community service hours, and build confidence as emerging educators and collaborative community leaders. Each mentor receives 9 months of teaching experience, professional development, a stipend, and a certificate upon completion.

    Bergen.

    Hello! My name is Bergen Schager. I'm a junior at Hellgate HS. I started playing the violin when I was eight and have stuck with it. Playing the violin challenges me in so many ways, helping me grow as a person. In my free time I love spending time with friends and being outdoors.

  • Bonnie.

    I'm Bonnie Groenenboom. I’m a student at Hellgate HS and I've been studying violin for 10yrs with Dr. Baldridge. I’ve played in Missoula Youth Orchestra, Missoula Youth Symphony, and Missoula Symphony Orchestra. I love the musical community here, especially the social aspect of music.

    Branden.

    Hi! My name is Branden Roach. I am a junior at Hellgate. I have been playing viola for 7 years. I love that I get to connect with people that truly love playing and make so many friends. I’ve played in All-State and MYS. I also crochet, read, love being outdoors, and being with friends.

    Hi, my name is Jazz Chin. I am a junior at Hellgate High School. I’ve been playing the violin for 13 years. I love violin and all the opportunities it provides. I’ve played with Missoula Youth Symphony and All State Orchestra. Outside of music I love art, reading, and being outside.

    Hi! I'm Scout McCreedy. I'm a sophomore at Hellgate High School, and I've been playing cello for about five years now! I have been with Grow Music since I was in sixth grade. I'm also a part of Missoula Youth Symphony! I enjoy spending my free time painting, reading, and writing.
